Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond locks and a lively persona, shows how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality in your home with simple techniques. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has learned about Italy's food traditions and culture, and the surrounding environment. Early on, while living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was hard to study how to do, or even work hard enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian cuisine. This had an enormous influence on her perception of food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, where she is an advocate for children with diabetes and awareness. She frequently travels around the country in her role as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to be in a position to share this passion for life with others.
