Her principal roles are Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl Mabel and Lyndsey McElroy from Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith grew up in Menlo Park, a San Francisco suburb. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne, her mother. Both were computer market researchers. Courtney Smith was just seven years old when she, divorced Walter Smith. She stayed with both her parents during different times. Jennifer is Jennifer's elder sister. She is a marketing executive. She completed her studies at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California in 1985. She also worked with Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley during her time in high school.
